Russell's Roving Reporters was created by Sean Russell in 2005 at Silver Ridge Elementary in Davie, Florida. Every morning, a team of third, fourth and fifth grade students work together to plan, record and edit news stories.

With the support of our partners, grant opportunities and generous donations, we hope to build a model for Roving Reporters that can be adopted by schools across the country. The program will be open to both elementary and middle school students. Along with the blueprint of this successful program, computers and video equipment will be donated to help provide an extra incentive for participating schools.

It's our goal to feature these episodes on a website dedicated for the Roving Reporters Program. This online network will feature stories that will inspire and motivate future broadcasters of America, and paint an accurate portrayal of what's happening in our schools. With the support of major news affiliates and media organizations, we hope to offer opportunities for schools to raise funding and awareness for technology.
